Ten cents worth

So this happened on me today.

I had for years said that when I got a tattoo it would be of Max from Where the Wild Things Are, but when Caroline and I came over to Melbourne and were talking about what tattoos we wanted I decided I wanted something that would represent home to me.  But also not something obvious that everyone else would get.  And thus, the New Zealand ten cent piece.

We had said we would do it as soon as we got our first pay check from our new jobs.  That didn’t happen.  In fact, I’ve been casually talking to the guys at the tattoo parlour I went to about it for months, but last week I finally set a date, and now it’s done.

I don’t think you understand how much I love it.
